About

I’m Nika, founding director of Calm Nest Collective 👋 After seven years in corporate and 12+ years in the events industry, delivering international large scale music festivals and sustainability programmes, and as a neurodivergent person myself, I saw how often events and workplaces overlooked real human needs.

Calm Nest Collective creates sensory-friendly spaces, inclusive event design and wellbeing strategies for events, workplaces and public venues. From Calm Nest Spaces and conference quiet rooms to accessible event journeys, we help people feel calmer, safer and able to take part.

Our Calm by Design Framework turns neuroinclusion into practical action through sensory design, psychological safety, workforce wellbeing, inclusive communications and regenerative event culture.

What makes us different is the combination of lived experience and hands-on delivery. I’m also a qualified social worker, MHFAider, PhD researcher exploring mental health and neurodiversity in events, podcast host and music and events industry mentor.

Because when you design for people’s real needs, you create better experiences for everyone.

Services

Sensory-friendly spaces, inclusive event design and wellbeing strategies for events, workplaces and public venues. We create Calm Nest Spaces where people can decompress, regulate and recharge, alongside practical support through our Calm by Design Framework.

Speaks about

I speak about all things events—particularly music events and festivals—including inclusive event and workplace design, neuroinclusion, sensory-friendly spaces, mental health and wellbeing, crew and artist welfare, accessibility, sustainability, and building a more responsible, human-centred event culture.
